Museum of Fine Arts is the first Hungarian gallery of artwork, which begins with a collection donated by Archbishop of Eger Pyrker and also hosts an extensive art collection purchased in 1870 by the family Esterhazy. Today, as the Egyptian, Roman and Greek artifacts also hosted a fine collection of Italian art, providing a representative picture of the schools of painting from the 12th to the 18th century.
