Grotte du Lait, Milk Grotto Chapel

Bethlehem Milk Grotto with the Milk Grotto Chapel, irregular Grotto sorrounded by a Franciscan Chapel and hollowed out of soft milk-white rock famous for its healing powers for lactating mothers. The Milk Grotto is said to be the location where the Mary, Joseph and the Infant Jesus temporarily sought refuge during the incident of the Slaughter of the Innocents.
