Global Vipassana Pagoda, View

View of the Global Vipassana Pagoda (325 feet tall). The pagoda constructed by the Global Vipassana Foundation (GVF) was inaugurated by President Pratibha Patil February 8 2009 and is to serve as a World Monument of Peace and Harmony. It is located in the north of Mumbai in an area called Gorai and is built on donated land on a peninsula between Gorai creek and the Arabian Sea.
