Eglise Matthias, Matyas-templom

The church of St. Mattias, is at the castle of Budapest and was named by King Mattias who has helped to expand the church in Hungary. The creation of this church started years ago, during the 14th century and later the city's occupation by the Turks, the church became a mosque, losing many of its architectural details. Over the years the church suffered much damage and destruction. After several statements, the church had to be rebuilt. This was done by Franciscan monks who gave her a Gothic style.
