Parlement hongrois, Facade

On the east side of the Danube, on Pest, is located the Hungarian Parliament. This is an impressive Gothic building where the entrance is almost exact copy of the relevant British parliament. Constructed in 1902 and it's the largest in Europe. In front of it there are two huge statues of lions and 88 kings and leaders of Hungary. Its length is 268 meters, 96 meters high and consists of 691 rooms. The hall of the National Assembly, where the National Assembly meets, is decorated with several paintings including 'Conquering Magyars' Michael Mounkatsi.
