Château de Bzovik, Fortified Monastery

Bzovík Castle was established in the 1530s to defend against Turkish incursions when Žigmund Balassa rebuilt the Gothic monastery at Bzovík and surrounded it with a 20-metre tall fortified wall and four four-storey corner bastions.
