Angkor, Takeo Temple

After the death of Jayavaraman V in AD 1001, a violent usurpation shook the kingdom of Angkor; so work on the temple ceased for the first time. During the reign of King Suryavaraman I, the construction started again but later it was abandoned uncompleted. However, because of absence of decoration, the temple became an impressively unique temple.
