Angkor, Side view, Takeo Temple

Takeo temple is located on the east of Angkor Thom. It is one of the first temples, which were built out of sandstone. It is atop a laterite base with 122 meters and 106 meters. It rises into the sky about 22 meters. The temple was built from the late 10th to early 12th centuries by King Jayavarman V (968-1001) and Suryavarman I (1002-1050).
