Centre-ville, Sands Centre

The Sands Centre (view from Hardwick Circus), in Carlisle, is Cumbria and South West Scotland's premier venue for sport and entertainment. Originally built in 1984 the centre caters to over 735,000 customers per year and plays host to international orchestras, theatre companies, opera and ballet groups, international recording artists and comedians, past and present. The centre provides a diverse range of sports, recreation and health & fitness activities as well as the LifeStyle Centre, a state of the art fitness facility. Customers range from two to ninety two and there is usually an activity for everyone.
