Backside of the Hall of Mahavira at the Three Pagodas, Dali, Yunnan province, China. It's next higher the 11-face Avalokitesvara Hall. The eleven-face Avalokitesvara Hall is a bulling with double eave roof, where the Eleven-face Avalokitesvara standing at nine meters tall and the eight avatars of Avalokitesvara standing at four meters tall are enshrined. The lattice on the door of the hall is the famous lianchuan wood carving. Carved on the door are the stories of the 18 avatars of Avalokitesvara. The upper part is paintings and the lower part is literal explanation.
