Crète, Matala

The beach of Matala which is located in the greek island of Crete, once inhabited by ancients who carved a set of caves in the soft rock of the mountain. The caves remained permits for thousands of years until some wandering hippies discovered them and lived for some time. Several others followed them as Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin and Cat Stevens.
