Centre-ville, Venetian shipyards

What survives of the Venetian shipyards in Heraklion is located in the Venetian port. The docks are roofed oblong spaces for building and repairing ships of the Venetian fleet. There was a grand engineering project, whose construction is divided into four phases from 15th to 17th.
