Musée historique, Side view

The museum of Vietnamese History has a lot of items from Vietnamese history and covers some of Vietnam's ethnic groups. Each gallery focuses on a different era of Vietnamese history, starting with the stone age and proceeding up through the French colonial period. Of particular interest are some sandstone sculptures from the seventh and eighth centuries, Roman coins from the second century and a collection of cannons from Hue in the nineteenth century, swords and old French rifles, ect.
