Forteresse médiévale, Zawodzie

This medieval fortress was built in IX age. In XI/XII age was the one of most important fortresses in Poland. It was also the seat of ecclesiastical authority and the duke. In XII age the prince Mieszko III Stary found collegiate church of stone. St. Paul, which reconstructed foundations we can admire today. The rebuilt fortress consists of founds romance collegiate, entrance gate to the bridge, tower, shaft chest construction, paling of the palisade and seven huts.
