This is a replica of the original St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery (built in 11th century and destroyed by the Soviet authorities in 1936), opened in 2001. St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery is located on the Western side of the Dnieper River in Kiev, Ukraine.
