Government Office was built in 1896 by the design of architect A.B Hubback. It was formerly known as Old General Post Office. Next to the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, it was initiated by British Resident W.E Maxwell, near the Medeka square or Independent square, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
