Vinh Trang pagoda' façade, My tho city, Vietnam - Initially it was constructed in the early 19th century as a small garden temple, Vĩnh Tràng Pagoda was rebuilt in 1849 to a mixture of Chinese, Vietnamese and Khmer architectural styles by resident monk Huệ Ðăng, who had moved here from Giác Lâm Pagoda (Gia Ðịnh). The structure was rebuilt again in 1907 by resident monk Chánh Hậu, who added numerous European architectural features.
