Dr Yersin traveled to Nha Trang in 1891 to establish the first enterprise of virology researching and experiment in Vietnam. At the beginning of 1899, he established the Pasteur Institute in Nha Trang, on Tran Phu street and acted as President of Nha Trang Pasteur Institute.
