Centre-ville, Walse bay

At the end of the 19th century, new double-decked finger wharves were built with a series of bridges, which connected the upper levels to the high roads of Millers Point. In 1919, the wharves between Dawes point and Millers point were named Walsh Bay after the Trust's Engineer In Chief, H.D.Walsh. They are the Wharf Theatre and Bangarra Dance Theatre, located on Piers of the former Sydney port facility in Walsh Bay at Dawes Point.
