Éphèse, Hercules Gate

The Hercules Gate at the beginning of Curetes Street was constructed with two tiers of columns, and was names after two reliefs which showed Hercules draped in a lion-skin. The relief of Nike found in Domitian Square was on the second storey of the gate. Hercules Gate, Ephesus, Turkey.
