Province de Ben Tre, Dragon Columns, Phung Island

Phung Island (Cồn Phụng, meaning: Phoenix Island) is part of Ben Tre Province and is across the Mekong River from My Tho. This island used to be a commune for the 'Coconut Monk' (Ông Đạo Dừa- Nguyễn Thành Nam). From this photo can see the yard with 9 dragon columns (cửu long) and the Peace Tower (Tháp Hòa Bình or Cửu Trùng Đài).
