Centre-ville, St Michael Church bell tower

St Michael's Church was built in 1770 on the edge of Workington, with an upper row of windows for illuminating the galleries. It was remodelled in 1887 after a fire. St Michael's Church has completed a major rebuilding program, after another fire in 1994, in which an early 15th Century tomb chest and effigies of a knight and lady were badly damaged.
